About Chinese Medicine

natural healing armed with ancient philosophy of Yin-yang & five phases

Chinese herbal medicine is a traditional and holistic form of medicine that has a rich history and documentation. Unlike Western medicine that often prescribes individual drugs, Chinese herbal medicine combines herbs into formulas that work together to balance the body's energy flow, known as Qi. These formulas are carefully crafted to address specific health conditions or imbalances.

To achieve balance and harmony within the body, Chinese herbal medicine practitioners use a combination of herbs to regulate and balance Yin and Yang, which is in a state of pathogenic compensation. The flavors and tastes of herbs also play a crucial role in their effectiveness. This theory is known as "Four Qi and Five Tastes." The Four Qi include ascending, descending, floating, and sinking, while the Five Tastes are purging, salty, sweet, sour, and bitter. These principles are used in the practical application of the theory of Yin-Yang and Five-Phases.

By using Chinese herbal medicine, practitioners can help patients achieve optimal health and wellness by restoring balance and harmony within the body. While more research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms of action of Chinese herbal medicine, its centuries of use and accumulated knowledge demonstrate its potential value in treating a wide range of health conditions.

EXPERIENCES accumulated by centeries of generations, clinical approved effects

Chinese herbal medicine is a traditional form of medicine that has been practiced in China for over 2,000 years. It is based on the concept of Qi, which is the energy or life force that flows through all living things. According to Chinese medicine, illness and disease occur when the flow of Qi is disrupted or blocked.

One of the most important figures in the history of Chinese herbal medicine is Zhang Zhongjing. He lived during the Han Dynasty (sometime before 220 AD) and is considered one of the greatest physicians in Chinese history. He wrote two important works on Chinese medicine, Shang Han Lun (Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases) and Jin Kui Yao Lue (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet), which are still widely studied and used today.

Shang Han Lun and Jin Kui Yao Lue contain a total of 374 herbal formulas that Zhang Zhongjing developed based on his clinical observations and experiences. These formulas have been used for centuries to treat a wide range of health conditions, from the common cold to more serious diseases.

One of the advantages of Chinese herbal medicine is that it offers a holistic approach to healthcare, taking into account the whole person rather than just treating isolated symptoms. This approach includes not only the use of herbal formulas, but also dietary and lifestyle recommendations, acupuncture, and other forms of therapy.

In recent years, some of Zhang Zhongjing's formulas have been modified and used to treat COVID-19 in China. These formulas have been clinically tested and have shown promising results in preventing and treating the disease.

While more research is needed to fully understand the efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine, the centuries of accumulated knowledge and clinical experience, including Zhang Zhongjing's work, demonstrate the potential value of this traditional form of medicine in treating a wide range of health conditions. With the growing interest in integrative and alternative medicine, Chinese herbal medicine is gaining popularity around the world as a valuable complement to Western medicine.
